APA reports quoting Daily Sabah that PKK members attacked an armored police vehicle with an improvised explosive device. In the attack, three policemen were killed and another was wounded.
The wounded policeman was transferred to Nusaybin State Hospital for treatment.
The witnesses also added that houses near the explosion area were damaged. A wide-scale operation has been launched by the security forces.
The Turkish government has intensified its counterterror operations following the recent attacks carried out by the PKK. Totally 9 terrorists were killed in Eruh and Purvari regions of Siirt province.
