"The Ukrainian people want the war to end more than anything else," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with FOX News TV channel, APA reports.

Is a ceasefire enough?

Speaking about providing security guarantees to his country, Zelenskyy stressed that a ceasefire is not enough to resolve the conflict and that only the Ukrainian people want the war to end.

He also assessed the possibilities of peace with Russia: Peace does not mean just the absence of war. However, despite this, I cannot give the order to my people to stop resisting. Because everyone in our country is afraid that tomorrow the Russian President will attack again. Russia attacked our homes and the whole world saw what they did. We do not want this to happen again. That is why our country needs security guarantees."

V. Zelenskyy said that official Kyiv is as ready as before to sign an agreement on minerals.

European guarantee - proposal to deploy peacekeepers

In his opinion, the first step in this direction is for official Washington to provide Ukraine with solid security guarantees:

"Europe also needs guarantees. For this, European peacekeepers should be deployed in the territory of Ukraine. This period should cover the period until the end of the war."
