Ukraine's Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov expressed expectations on Friday for a clear signal regarding Kyiv's potential membership in NATO at the upcoming Lithuania summit on July 11-12, APA reports citing Teletrader.
The Kyiv regime has advocated for Ukraine's inclusion in the military alliance for some time. "I expect them to give us a clear, understandable signal and formula for us, obviously, to become a NATO member," Ukraine's military press center cited Reznikov as saying.
While there is no foreseeable end to the conflict initiated by Russia in Ukraine, Ukrainian forces have begun a counteroffensive in the southeast to reclaim some territories currently under Russian control.
