Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar wrote on her Telegram account on Monday that the country's troops have managed to liberate around 130 square kilometers along the southern front line since the beginning of the counter-offensive, APA reports citing Teletrader.
Maliar noted that although the Russian forces have been putting up "strong resistance," they have also been experiencing "significant losses in personnel, weapons and equipment." She added that Moscow lost eight times more of its army personnel over the past week compared to Ukraine.
In the east, Ukrainian forces conducted both offensive and defensive operations, while making tactical successes, Maliar stated.
