A telephone conversation took place between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, APA's Moscow correspondent reports, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.

During the telephone conversation, Lavrov stated that on the night of February 27-28, Ukraine attempted to attack the Russkaya compressor station located on the TurkStream gas pipeline with three unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Russian Foreign Minister seriously asked his Turkish counterpart to use Ankara's existing capabilities in cooperation with Kiev to prevent similar attempts to carry out terrorist acts against Ukrainian civilian infrastructure facilities.

H. Fidan told Lavrov that necessary measures would be taken.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed the situation in Ukraine with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, Turkish Foreign Ministry released a statement on this, APA reports.

"On March 1, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov. The latest developments in the context of the Russia-Ukraine conflict were discussed," the statement said.
