Tbilisi is not afraid of the European Union's ultimatums to reconsider the visa-free regime, said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, APA reports.
Kobakhidze said that the Georgian authorities will not repeal laws that prevent revolutions in the country.
According to the Prime Minister, Brussels should not act in the spirit of "Soviet Moscow", each claim must be substantiated and it is important to refrain from "empty ultimatums".
The head of government noted that laws that protect family values and at the same time allow for control over the financing of organizations operating in the interests of foreign states are important for Georgia.
Kobakhidze also commented on the allegations regarding the prisoners. According to the Prime Minister, each crime committed is substantiated and proven by facts: "If they have any legal questions regarding these cases, let them bring legal arguments. Of course, there are no such questions. Thus, we are faced with empty political ultimatums, which is very sad."
Recall that earlier, the European Commission sent a letter of recommendation to Georgian Foreign Minister Make Bochorishvili regarding the repeal of a number of laws. It was stated that Tbilisi's reaction would be included in the report on the visa suspension mechanism.
