Baku-APA. Two people were killed when a small aircraft crashed at Denmark's Roskilde Airport on Wednesday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.

A small privately owned aircraft crashed shortly after 18:30 local time (1730 GMT) when landing at Roskilde Airport, said Danish news agency Ritzau.

The two persons on broad have been confirmed dead but their identities are not yet known, according to local police.

The aircraft was a Danish-registered Cessna aircraft. The witness told Ritzau that the plane caught on fire immediately after the crash.

Police authorities said that the cause of the air crash is still unknown, and that investigations into the accident would soon get underway.

Roskilde Airport is a small airport located some 40 kilometers southeast of Copenhagen, the Danish capital. It is primarily used for taxi, business, and training flights.
