The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on an enterprise belonging to "Roscosmos", used by the occupiers in the logistics of enemy bridges and warehouses, UNN reports.
"On the night of July 1, as part of reducing the military-economic potential of Russia, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the JSC "Scientific Research Institute of Physical Measurements" in the Penza region of the Russian Federation. A hit and smoke were recorded at the facility," reported the General Staff.
This, as stated, is a leading Russian enterprise in the field of space, aviation, and military instrumentation. It is part of the holding "Russian Space Systems" (which, in turn, is a component of the state corporation "Roscosmos"). It produces, among other things, sensors for cruise and ballistic missiles (Iskander, Kalibr, Kh-101), components of onboard aviation systems (Su-34, Su-35, Tu-95MS), and equipment for military space (reconnaissance satellites).
The scale of the damage is being clarified.
"Among other things, a road bridge across the Malyi Kalchyk River in the area of Hranitne, Donetsk region, a railway bridge across the Tepla River in the area of Nyzhnyoteple, Luhansk region, and a logistics crossing in the area of Novocheretuvate, Donetsk region were struck," stated the General Staff.
These objects, it is noted, are used by the enemy for transferring personnel, weapons, ammunition, and material and technical means.
"Also, a fuel and lubricants depot of the enemy in Melitopol was struck, as well as three material and technical supply depots of Russia in the areas of Krupky, Kursk region (rf), Rivnopil, Donetsk region, and Novoegorivka, Kharkiv region. In addition, five enemy UAV control points were struck in the areas of Hrozove and Zaliznychne, Zaporizhzhia region, and Udachne, Novooleksandrivka, and Pokrovsk in Donetsk region," the General Staff report says.

Ukrainian drones hit a state-owned bearing plant in the Russian city of Penza overnight on July 1 as strikes were recorded in occupied Donetsk, social media channels report.
A fire was recorded at the bearing plant in Penza after it was struck in a Ukrainian attack, eyewitnesses reported, according to Telegram news channel Exilenova Plus.
Penza is located approximately 550 kilometers (340 miles) northeast of Ukraine's border with Russia.
Earlier in the night, explosions were reported in the Russian-occupied city of Donetsk, and a blaze followed, according to Exilenova Plus.
It remains unclear what target may have been struck in the city.
Ukraine regularly strikes military infrastructure deep within Russia and occupied territories in an effort to diminish Moscow's ability to continue waging its war.
On June 30, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia's Dubna Space Communications Center in Moscow Oblast was struck again, adding that Ukraine was "gradually carrying out its plan of long-range sanctions" against Russia.
"Today, our long-range sanctions against Russia for this war once again reached the Dubna Space Communications Center," Zelenskyy said.
Ukraine previously struck the site on June 22. The General Staff said the attack damaged a 32-meter MARK-IV satellite communications antenna and the facility's main control building, which supports Russian military communications, intelligence, and satellite operations.
