"We will systematically eliminate the problems hindering the development of relations with the European Union," Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said at a joint press conference with Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev in Ankara, APA's Türkiye bureau reports.

He said that Türkiye's full membership in the European Union remains a strategic objective.

The minister emphasized that, under the instructions of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, all institutions of the Turkish government are acting in a coordinated manner to advance relations with the European Union.

Hakan Fidan noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the institution responsible for coordinating relations with the EU, continues its efforts to further advance both the full membership process and the existing cooperation mechanisms.

According to him, Türkiye has no serious problems in its bilateral political, economic, and trade relations with the majority of EU member states.

"Our expectation is that a common approach will be formed in this regard. As the ministry responsible for coordinating relations with the European Union, we are working to effectively advance both the membership process and the ongoing relations," he said.
