Macedonia, Turkey to improve cooperation on customs administrations

Baku-APA.The customs administrations of Macedonia and Turkey will improve their cooperation involving customs controls and investigations, the Customs Administration said on Thursday, APA reports.

It has been agreed by director of Macedonia's Customs Administration Vanco Kargov and Hasan Koseoglu, Turkey's Deputy Director General for EU and External Relations at the Undersecretariat of Customs.

Kargov and Koseoglu shared experiences over the introduction of new IT systems in the countries' customs administrations, largely focusing on the development of the New Computerised Transit System (NCTS).

The interlocutors welcomed the cooperation established in exchanging information for foreign trade, stressing the need to further strengthen the collaboration and to mitigate trade, stated a press release.
