International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi stated on Thursday that the agency will continue to closely monitor the situation at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant following the "catastrophic" flooding of the Nova Kakhovka dam, APA reports citing Teletrader.
"In our opinion, we have gathered a large amount of information to assess what is happening, and we will continue to monitor the situation to avoid a nuclear incident," Grossi said in a video posted on Twitter after a visit to the station.
In a previous statement, Grossi said he would present a plan to help Kyiv curb the effects of the floods related to the destruction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant (HPP).
