Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is expected to serve another four-year term as the head of the country's government following his party's win in the legislative election held on Sunday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
With more than 95% of the ballots counted, New Democracy won over 40% of the vote, translating to 158 parliamentary seats and a majority in the 300-member legislature, allowing the party to form the government without coalition partners.
Former Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras's left-wing Syriza party was behind with just under 18%, while PASOK-KINAL had around 12%.
