Georgian Ambassador to Kyiv Giorgi Zakarashvili will leave Ukraine by 12:00 on July 6, he told the "Rustavi-2" TV channel about this on July 5, APA reports.
"The 48-hour period expires tomorrow at 12 noon. I will try my very best to leave Ukraine by 12," the diplomat said.
The tension between the two countries arose after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky summoned the Georgian Ambassador to the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on July 3. Strong objections were raised against the Georgian Ambassador, and he was ordered to leave the country within 48 hours. This demand was made against the backdrop of the situation related to the former President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili. Zelensky called on the Georgian authorities to return the politician to Ukraine and provide him with medical care and attention.
