Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met his Uzbek counterpart Abdulla Aripov within the framework of his official visit to Uzbekistan, APA reports citing Georgian Public Broadcaster.
Positive dynamics of cooperation, high-level political dialogue, partnership between institutions and the role of Georgia-Uzbekistan inter-government economic cooperation in intensifying relations were accentuated at the meeting.
Georgian PM thanked his colleague for friendly attitude to Georgia and the Georgian people. He invited Abdulla Aripov to Georgia.
“We assign great importance to our cooperation and Georgia-Uzbekistan inter-government economic cooperation is significant. We are interested in boosting trade partnership between our countries. We can further activate the investment part of the partnership. Your investment environment can be very attractive for Georgian investors, and Georgia offers an interesting investment climate to potential investors, we assign special significance to the development of the Middle Corridor. Georgia has a strategic location, historically linking Europe and Asia, West and East. We seek to utilize this strategic location and cooperation between Georgia and Uzbekistan might be very prolific and profitable,” Irakli Kobakhidze said.
