French Minister of the Interior Gerald Darmanin confirmed that 270 people have been arrested in France on the fourth night of protests, APA reports citing Teletrader.
"Significant reinforcements are arriving at the moment" in Marseille, where over 80 arrests were made today, according to the minister. Mayors of Lyon and Marseille condemned the violence that is happening in their cities as "unacceptable."
On Friday evening, Darmanin said that 45,000 police officers and gendarmes have been mobilized amid expected riots.
