"Türkiye is the largest contributor to NATO, which very few countries have done. We supported and continue to support the "open door" policy of the Union," said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
"By approving Finland's membership, we demonstrated our principled position. We cannot confirm the membership of those who embrace terrorists. How can Türkiye approve those who do not distance themselves from terrorism? We want the promises made to our country in Madrid to be respected," said the Turkish President.
