Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Denmark's former prime minister and party leader for Venstre, is leaving, APA reports citing Tellerreport.
He announces that himself on Twitter.
“It is important to stick to one's self-respect. Can't be party leader for a party where as a party leader I have no opportunity to discuss and test the political line I have put forward, in the forum where I have been elected. Thank you for many good years,” he writes.
The message comes after the party's top tier held a meeting this weekend.
