Czechia will host an informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers in May this year, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic said in a press release, APA reports.

The meeting will take place in Prague on 30-31 May.

"The ministerial meeting is an important commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Czechia's membership of NATO this year and the 75th anniversary of the Alliance's founding," the Ministry noted.

The NATO Ministerial is, alongside the NATO Summit, the second most important security policy meeting of the Alliance outside Brussels. It will be the largest Alliance event in Czechia since the NATO Summit in Prague in 2002.

The event will also include several side events, such as the 11th National Conference "Our Security is not a given", an exhibition at Prague downtown, discussions on "Our Footprints in NATO" held at secondary schools or the Scout Institute, and more.
