The abduction took place at the 35th km of Tunceli-Ovacik road in eastern Turkey at about 6.30pm on Sunday evening after a PKK group waylaid CHP, Republican People’s Party, MP Huseyin Aygun’s car.
The group abducted the MP after carrying out an outlawed ID check.
A large scaled operation was launched after the incident, according to information gathered from Tunceli Governor Mustafa Taskesen.
