French president to meet queen on British visit

Baku-APA. Queen Elizabeth II will receive new French President Francois Hollande at Windsor Castle on Tuesday on his first official visit to London, Buckingham Palace said, APA reports quoting news.yahoo.com website.

The two heads of state will hold a private meeting at the castle, a spokesman told AFP.

Hollande makes his first official visit to London on Tuesday with splits over financial services regulation, the euro crisis and high-income taxation set to dominate talks with Prime Minister David Cameron.

"The queen is very happily able to receive the new French president at Windsor," the palace spokesman said.

"The queen is currently in residence at Windsor Castle so the queen will receive the president on Tuesday in a private room."

Queen Elizabeth is also due to meet London 2012 Games organiser Sebastian Coe on Tuesday and receive the Olympic torch as the relay passes through Windsor.
