Baku-APA. Spain’s Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Garcia Margallo will pay a two-day visit to Tunisia on March 26 and 27, the state-run TAP press agency reported Saturday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The visit will focus on "strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation within the Euro-Med space," a Tunisian foreign ministry communique said, adding that the visit will also "boost financial and economic cooperation between the two countries and in particular in the sector of renewable energies."
In 2012, the volume of Spanish investments in Tunisia was estimated at some 613 million dinars (about 450 million U.S. dollars).
There are currently 57 Spanish companies operating in the North African country, employing 4,328 people, TAP said.
