New Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights elected

According to APA’s European Bureau, in the framework of the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) held elections.
Note that the term of office of the current Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights Thomas Hammarberg will end by late March 31, 2012.
Together with Nils Muiznieks two more candidates, Yves Monette (Belgium) and Frans Timmermans (Netherlands) were participated at the election for the post of the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights.
Note that Nils Muiznieks works at PACE since 2005 and since 2010 he works as a hair of the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI).
