“Seremet will fly to Moscow on January 11 on an invitation from Russian Prosecutor General Yury Chaika in connection with the 290th anniversary of the Russian supervision agency,†Martyniuk said.
The anniversary is celebrated on January 12.
He said that during the visit, the Polish side expects to discuss issues relating to the investigation of the April 2010 air crash that killed then Polish president Lech Kaczynski.
No legal documents are expected to be signed, Martyniuk said.
On April 10, 2010, Lech Kaczynski’s Tu-154 plane crashed in heavy fog as it attempted to land at an airfield near the western Russian city of Smolensk. Kaczynski, his wife and a host of other top officials on board were killed.
