The number of the injured reached 4152. 231 were pulled alive from the rubbles. Atalay said rescue operations had been completed in 5 out of 6 collapsed buildings in Van, 58 buildings out of 65 in Ercis settlement of Van. He said 35 257 tents had been given to the sufferers, 10 percent of them had been sent from other countries.

Besir Atalay also gave information about the foreign aids. It was noted that Azerbaijan had sent to Van 140-man rescue team, 1250 tents, 700 bed clothes, 40 generators, 40 kitchen appliances and 5 000 blankets.
