Kamal Kilicdaroglu became a new chairman of the main opposition party of Turkey

Baku-APA. The 33rd Congress of the main opposition party of Turkey elected Kemal Kilicdaroglu chairman of The Republican People’s Party (RPP).

APA reports quoting Turkish media that Kilicdaroglu received 1,184 votes from 1,249 and became the 7th leader of Republican People’s Party. In his speech after the announcement of election results, he noted that he is proud that now he is a leader of Bulent Ecevit and Deniz Baykal’s party. Kilicdaroglu promised to do his best in order to engage the whole country into a political struggle.

The former head of the RPP Deniz Baykal congratulated Kilicdaroglu on the occasion of victory.

Tomorrow will hold elections to the board and other structures of Republican People’s Party of Turkey.
