Turkish President, Prime Minister and Chief of General Staff hold meeting

APA reports quoting Haberturk that the meeting in Cankaya resident lasted for three hours. The president’s resident issued the following statement.
“The recently discussed topics were touched on at the meeting. Our citizens should be confident that the issues on the agenda will be solved within the framework of the Constitution and laws. It was underlined that everybody must act in a responsible manner in order not to damage the image of the structures.â€
Former chief of General Staff, retired Army General Ergin Saygun, former commander of the Military Air Forces, retired Army General Ibrahim Firtina, former commander of the Naval Forces, retired Army General Ozden Ornek, former commander of the 1st army, retired Army General Cetin Dogan, several other retired generals, admirals, colonels – generally 49 people were arrested on February 22. They were arrested in connection with the military coup “Balyoz†published in the Taraf newspaper.
