Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. Construction of Trans-Adriatic Pipeline will be completed in 2020. This will allow transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe, said the Director-General of Southern Gas Corridor Afgan Isayev at the second day of meeting held as a part of the 2nd Azerbaijan and Caspian Sea Oil and Gas Week 2014.
According to him, Trans-Anatolian Gas Pipeline will be completed in 2018, which will allow transporting Azeri gas to Turkey. He noted that the Southern Gas Corridor OJSC is a capital company and it’s planned to transport Azeri gas firstly: “However, we have wide opportunities. If any country or company will apply in the future, we can agree with them”.
Isayev noted that the projects needs $45-50 bln: “first gas transportation via Southern Gas Corridor will make $23.4 bcm. We intend to increase this figure to 33 bcm”.
