Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. Today, an event on 65th anniversary of extraction of first oil has been held in the Oil Rocks.
According to APA-Economics, Azneft Chairman Dashgin Isgenderov spoke aobut the history of Oil Rocks and noted that the first oil was extracted in 1952 and carried by tankers through coast.
Isgenderov noted that Oil Rocks produced 670,861 tonnes of oil throughout this year.
According to him, 250,000 cm of gas is produced in the Oil Rocks per day: “Ten thousands of meters wells have been drilled in the Oil Rocks so far”.
He said that the field has 24.5 mln tonnes of oil and 22.2 mcm of gas reserves.
Thereafter, a ceremony of awarding of employees was held. SOCAR Vice President for Personnel, Regime and Information Technologies Khalik Mammadov names Tereggi and Shohret orders.
