Azerbaijan gets 5% rise in natural gas production, 2% decline in crude oil production

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. In January-October, 2014, the production in mining sector of Azerbaijan’s economy made AZN 19.8 bln, down 1.3% from previous year.

State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that Azerbaijan produced 35,746,700 tonnes of crude oil (including gas condensate) during 10 months of 2014, down 1.8% by contrast to a year earlier. As of November 1, the finished products made 238,800 tonnes.

Of this, 35,611,800 tonnes are marketable crude oil, down 1.4% in annual comparison.

During the reporting period, 25,244,000 cm of natural gas were produced, up 5.1% from a year ago. Consequently, finished products made 265.2 mln cm. 15,481.2 mcm of this gas make marketable gas, up 5.9% from 2013.
