Belarus is preparing for war to avoid war and has no intention of attacking anyone, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said during inspections of the Armed Forces, APA reports.
According to him, there is nothing unusual about the inspections being carried out in the army.
"I have said openly and honestly that we are preparing for war to avoid war. We have no intention of attacking anyone," Lukashenko emphasized.
He also commented on reports in Western media claiming that Russia is preparing to attack the Baltic states and Poland from Belarusian territory.
"This is a lie," the Belarusian leader stated.
