In January–September of this year, consumers in Azerbaijan spent AZN 3,058.2 million on motor gasoline and diesel fuel alone through the retail trade network, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.
According to the report, the figure recorded during the reporting period exceeded the corresponding figure for 2025 by 4%.
It should be noted that oil in Azerbaijan is refined at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, which was established in 1953. The refinery fully meets the country's demand for petroleum products. Reconstruction and modernization work is currently underway at the refinery.
