Average daily crude oil production in Azerbaijan stood at 448,000 barrels in September of this year, representing an increase of 6,000 barrels compared to the previous month, APA-Economics reports, citing the monthly report of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
According to the report, the figure stood at 442,000 barrels in August.
The report indicates that Azerbaijan's average daily crude oil production amounted to 454,000 barrels in the first quarter of the year, 456,000 barrels in the second quarter, and 449,000 barrels in the third quarter. Thus, the figure decreased by 7,000 barrels in the third quarter.
It is reported that Azerbaijan's average daily crude oil production stood at 461,000 barrels in 2025, which was 20,000 barrels lower than the figure recorded in 2024.
Recall that Azerbaijan is a participant in the OPEC+ agreement. OPEC+ is an initiative to reduce oil production involving OPEC member states and non-OPEC countries. Under the agreement reached by OPEC+ ministers, Azerbaijan's production quota stands at 551,000 barrels per day until the end of 2026.
Thus, Azerbaijan's oil production in September was 103,000 barrels per day below its OPEC+ quota.
