“Laos and Azerbaijan will restore their historical traditions of friendship,” President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic Thongloun Sisoulith said in joint press statements with President Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
“President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of revisiting and restoring these historical traditions of friendship and goodwill between our countries, as well as expanding cooperation not only in politics and diplomacy, but also in such areas as the economy, trade, investment, travel, tourism, and human resources development. It is also envisaged that Laos will benefit from these opportunities. At the same time, I believe that during this visit, the relevant institutions of both countries will maintain close contacts with each other and expand cooperation to implement the agreements reached today by the two heads of state,” the President of Laos added.
