The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) under the U.S. Department of Energy has updated its forecast for daily global production of liquid hydrocarbons for 2025–2026, APA-Economics reports citing EIA’s monthly report.
The average daily global production of liquid hydrocarbons this year is expected to be 104.61 million barrels, which is 0.26 million barrels more than the previous forecast.
In addition, EIA estimates that next year, the daily global production of liquid hydrocarbons will be at the level of 105.72 million barrels (previous forecast – 105.14 million barrels).
According to the report, in 2024, the daily production of liquid hydrocarbons was 102.8 million barrels, which is 0.78 million barrels more than the 2023 figure (102.02 million barrels).
Recall that in 2022, the average daily global production of liquid hydrocarbons was 99.99 million barrels. In 2021, this figure was 95.7 million barrels, in 2020 – 93.84 million barrels, and in 2019 it amounted to 100.61 million barrels.
