# 14 March 2025 11:53 (UTC +04:00)

In the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, the reserves were reassessed clarifying the final list for 142 beds and the extent of the damage was calculated, this is reflected in the report of the Cabinet of Ministers for 2024, APA reports.

It was noted that complex ecological monitoring was carried out to determine the water sources, land ecological condition, radiation, radiation dose rate, and air quality in the areas of Lachin district and Zabukh, Sus villages, Zangilan district and Agali village, Shusha, Aghdam, Fuzuli, Jabrail, Kalbajar, Aghdara districts, the liberated settlements and villages of Tartar district, Khojali district and Asgaran settlement, as well as the city of Khankandi and surrounding areas, and during the monitoring, measurement works were carried out using portable devices to determine the actual radiation conditions (gamma radiation dose rate), radiation dose rate, and air quality in total 292 points , particularly in the areas that were demined and cleared from unexploded ordnance, and in areas around state-owned buildings that were restored and newly constructed, 157 water samples, 16 soil samples were taken, and relevant eco-toxicological studies were carried out on the "Gizilbulag" gold-copper-polymetallic deposit in Agdara district, and laboratory analyses (physical, chemical, and environmental assessments of hazardous waste) were conducted. In the Gizilbulag gold deposit area at total 24 points, complex monitoring was carried out, 40 samples of water, soil, and sediment were collected, and measurement works were conducted to determine the air quality (nitrogen oxides, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen cyanide, etc.).

In the reporting year, monitoring inspection works were carried out at a total of 142 mineral raw material deposits in the Kalbajar district (26), Lachin district (39), Zangilan district (9), Shusha district (3), Jabrail district (19), Agdam district (13), Agdara district (11), Gubadli district (11), Khojali district (4), Khojavend district (2), and Fuzuli district (5), and the volume exploited during the occupation period was determined. Additionally, clarifying the final list for the 142 deposits, reserves were reassessed, and the extent of the damage was calculated. In the territories of Aghdam, Zangilan, Gubadli, and Khojavand districts, geological surveys and mining operations (pit, trench) were also carried out for the purpose of searching for non-ferrous and noble metals. The rock samples taken from the area during the search were subjected to laboratory analyses for examination, and based on the results of the analyses, relevant geological data was prepared.
