ACG and Shah Deniz reveal volume of oil and gas produced so far

The "Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli" (ACG) and "Shah Deniz" fields have produced nearly 653.5 million tons of oil (including condensate) and 473.1 billion cubic meters of gas as of March 1, 2025, since their commissioning, the Ministry of Energy told APA.

During the reporting period, 604.2 million tons of oil, 232 billion cubic meters of gas were extracted from ACG, and nearly 49.3 million tons of condensate, 241.1 billion cubic meters of gas were produced from Shah Deniz. Until March 1, a total of 651.5 million tons of oil and 172.8 billion cubic meters of gas have been transported for export.

According to the information, in January-February of this year, 4.5 million tons of oil (including condensate) were produced in the country. Of this, 2.6 million tons came from ACG, 0.6 million tons (condensate) from Shah Deniz, and 0.1 million tons (condensate) from the Absheron field. The oil (including condensate) production from SOCAR amounted to 1.2 million tons.

Within two months, 3.7 million tons of oil (including condensate) have been transported for export. Of this, 3.2 million tons belong to the consortiums, 0.4 million tons to SOCAR, and 0.1 million tons to the Absheron field.

In January-February of 2025, 8.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced in the country. Of this gas, 2.2 billion cubic meters came from ACG, 4.3 billion cubic meters from Shah Deniz, 0.3 billion cubic meters from the Absheron field, and 1.3 billion cubic meters from SOCAR.

During the reporting period, gas exports amounted to 3.8 billion cubic meters. Of this, 1.9 billion cubic meters were sold to Europe, 1.4 billion cubic meters to Türkiye (including 0.9 billion cubic meters via TANAP), and 0.5 billion cubic meters to Georgia.
