Ilham Aliyev: â€œAzerbaijan may supply Nabucco with gasâ€

APA reports that in his speech at Chatham House â€“ the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London, President Aliyev noted that he hoped for signing of the transit agreement between Azerbaijan and Turkey: â€œAzerbaijan had invited foreign investors to the Caspian region even before the Nabucco was brought to the agenda. If there were not our initiatives Nabucco wouldnâ€™t be realized. We have actively supported the project. But when Nabucco was brought to the agenda for the first time, Azerbaijan was not considered as a potential supplier. Our resources were few at that time. If Nabucco will be profitable from the economic point of view after its construction, we may supply Nabucco with gas. We have enough gas resourcesâ€.

According to Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan will sell 7 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Turkey this year and one part of this gas was delivered to Greece: â€œItâ€™s better for us to have an access for more marketsâ€.
