SOCAR Georgia to open 15 new filling stations in Georgia this year

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA-Economics. State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to expand its activities in Georgia, said SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev.

According to him, SOCAR plans to increase the capacity of the Black Sea Terminal to 15-20 million tons from 10 million tonnes.

In his words, SOCAR’s subsidiary SOCAR-Georgia will open another 15 filling stations in Georgia this year.

“23 petrol stations were set up in 2008. We plan to increase the number of stations across Georgia,” he added.

SOCAR operates filling stations in Georgia since May 2008.
