Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. SOCAR has started design-engineering of an oil refinery to be built in Izmir for Petkim, said Rovnag Abdullayev, President of SOCAR and Chairman of Petkim Holding Board.
According to him, the new refinery will increase productivity of Petkim. $4 billion is planned for investment in the refinery but the figure may be revised.
SOCAR owns 51% stake in Petkim Holding.
