Baku hosts International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov - APA-Economics. Baku is hosting the 16th International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference from June 2 â€“ 5.

Edward Strachan, Director of ITE Group Plc., organizer of the event, said about 300 companies from 22 countries will join the exhibition.

According to him, the exhibition area is enlarged by 22% this year and there are many newcomers which will take 20% of the exhibition area.

Rukhsara Liberman, Director of Ä°TE Group Oil&Gas Division, added that the exhibition and conference are supported by the Ministry of Industry and Energy and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).

Besides, the project partners are Iteca Caspian LLC (Azerbaijan), Ä°TE LLC Moscowâ€ (Russia), EUF (Turkey), GÄ°MA (Germany), ITE China (China), ITE Gulf (UAE) etc.

Energy giants like BP, Itochu, OMV Gas International GmbH, SOCAR, StatioilHydro ASA, Total, TPAO and others will occupy over 40% of the exhibition area.

National groups from China and Germany will also be present at the exhibition.

Ministers and senior officials from 20 countries will attend the official opening ceremony of the exhibition which is held under the aegis of the. President of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
