The CEC deputy chairman said that webcams for the first time were used during the 2008 elections in the country. “Installation of webcams at the polling stations is very important, and it’s necessary to continue this practice,” he noted.
Mammadov went on to add that except the voting booths, this year the whole election process, from the beginning till the end, will be monitored via webcams.
Moreover, he proposed to entrust relevant bodies with execution of this task.
The proposal was put to a vote and adopted.
Then the appeals of organizations for conducting exit polls during the elections were considered. The appeal of “Rey” Monitoring Centre was approved.
Then the composition of some constituency election commissions was changed.
