Panahov said the CEC has always attached importance to its long-term relations with influential international organizations, including the Council of Europe and its agencies, stressing the importance of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields related to elections, the media and public relations department of the CEC Secretariat told APA.
Head of the PACE delegation Jordi Xuclà asked about the preparatory work done for the elections. Answering the delegation’s questions, the CEC chairman gave detailed information about the measures and steps taken as part of the cooperation with international organizations to ensure active and passive electoral rights of citizens more effectively.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on prospects of cooperation in various fields and issues of mutual interest.
