Baku - APA. Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov has met with the delegation led by Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States Sergei Lebedev, who is on visit to Azerbaijan to monitor the parliamentary elections.
Media and public relations department of the CEC Secretariat told APA that Panahov said at the meeting that the election commission always attaches special importance to cooperation with international organizations.
Lebedev asked about the recent projects and latest preparations regarding the elections. Panahov informed the guests about the large-scale projects implemented, and the steps taken for holding free, fair and transparent.
The sides also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
