Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov said Oct.31 at a press conference, APA reports.
According to him, about 5,200.000 voters will take part in the voting process from 08:00am on Nov.1.
The CEC chairman said that 767 candidates will vie for 125 seats in the parliament.
“The most number of candidates in a constituency is 12, while the least is 3. Fifteen political parties participate as direct parties and seven parties as Azadlig-2015 voting bloc. It is gratifying that nearly 6 candidates vie for a seat in the parliament”, said Panahov.
The CEC chairman said that web cameras have been installed in 1,000 polling stations: “One can watch the voting process in the polling stations in the CEC’s website. This year’s cameras are of higher quality than the ones of previous years.”
