CEC Chairman: Polling stations to be provided with ramps

Baku. Ramiz Mikail oglu - APA. "Half of the registered MP candidates are of political parties,” Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Mazahir Panahov said on Saturday, APA reported.

Panahov said that the webcams installed at the polling stations must display tables at which members of the committee will sit and the ballot box.

Along with the parliamentary elections, the elections for the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan are also underway in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The webcams installed at Nakhchivan’s polling stations must display in both Azerbaijani and English that the elections for the parliament and for the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic are underway,” he said.

Panahov noted that special attention should be paid to the installation of ramps at the polling stations for voters with disabilities.

"Taking part in social activities is important to people with disabilities. Installation of the ramps at polling stations is a very progressive step forward, and it should be promoted by the press. The polling stations will be provided with ramps," said Mazahir Panahov.
