He made the remarks commenting on protests recently held in several districts of Azerbaijan after due to the devaluation of the manat rate.

According to Hasanov, the organizers and participants of this process are known. “It is obvious that some local activists of the opposition parties tried to organize protests in districts. They attempted to present it as “a people’s dissatisfaction with the government’s policy,”” he noted.

Hasanov said that in fact a few people took part in those “protests” and most of them were members and activists of the opposition parties. “It is not excluded that some civilians psychologically affected by manat’s devaluation also joined them. However, it is wrong to describe it as “dissatisfaction” and “protest” of the people. Large-scale measures immediately taken by the government to address the negative effects of the devaluation ruled out all the scenarios that could led to resentment,” the official added.

Hasanov said he does not believe that any country in the world would be able to repeat the success achieved by Azerbaijan in the last decade.

The Azerbaijani people believe in and support their leader, highly-assess the existing development, stability, peace and reject insidious games of others, he completed.
