Ali Abbasov: Some ministry officials in temporary detention - <span style="color: red;">VÄ°DEO

Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. Investigations are underway into financial and economic activities of Baku Telephone Communications Production Association (BTCPA), Minister of Communication and High Technologies Ali Abbasov said as he was commenting on recent arrests and investigations around the case of the Ministry of National Security, APA reported.

Abbasov said these are preliminary investigations and that other institutions too are under investigation in the same respect.

“Financial and economic activities of Baku Telephone Communications Production Association have nothing to do with the work of the Ministry of National Security,” he noted.

The minister added that there are some officials of the ministry who are being detained temporarily:

“They have been temporarily replaced by relevant persons, and I think the current communication system in Azerbaijan operates legally and corresponds to required standards. There is no problem with it,” said Abbasov.

He refused to comment on reports of the arrest of Vidadi Zeynalov
