"Heydar Aliyev saved Azerbaijan from disintegration and disappearance in the 20th and 21st centuries and rebuilt the country as a legal, democratic, and independent state," said Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev during an event marking the 102nd anniversary of Heydar Aliyev’s birth and the opening ceremony of a new wing of the administrative building of the Baku City Prosecutor’s Office, APA reports.
He noted that the President Ilham Aliyev's declaration of 2025 as the “Year of Constitution and Sovereignty” is of great importance in terms of once again analyzing and internalizing the main pillars of Azerbaijani statehood: "The Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, adopted in 1995 under the leadership of Heydar Aliyev, laid the legal foundations of our independent statehood, and the National Leader had exceptional contributions to the preparation of this document.”
