A conference titled “The Development Strategy of the Azerbaijani Language as the State Language: Current Situation and Prospects” was held in the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), APA reports.
The conference was attended by the Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, President of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union (AYB), People’s Writer Anar Rzayev, Chairman of the Audiovisual Council Ismat Sattarov, members of parliament, and other officials.
At the conference, discussions were held on the requirements and tasks put forward by President Ilham Aliyev regarding the Azerbaijani language, terminology, and toponymy at the 80th anniversary assembly of ANAS.
