Azerbaijani parliament’s spring session to conclude on May 26

The final plenary meeting of the spring session of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis will be held on May 26, APA reports.

Under the Internal Regulations of the Milli Majlis, the spring session begins on February 1 and continues until May 31.

It should be noted that according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated December 2, 2025, Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on May 27 and 28 this year. Independence Day (May 28) is considered a non-working day. Under the Labor Code, if Eid al-Adha coincides with another non-working public holiday, the following working day is considered a day off. Since Eid al-Adha coincides with Independence Day this year, the next day, May 29, will also be a non-working day. In addition, May 30 and 31 fall on Saturday and Sunday.

For this reason, the final meeting of the Milli Majlis within the framework of the spring session will take place on May 26.
